A Tunable White LED Strip is a flexible circuit board populated with dual-color LEDs (warm white and cool white). It allows users to dynamically adjust the color temperature, typically between 2700K and 6500K, using a compatible controller to create different lighting atmospheres.
It works by utilizing two distinct LED channels on the same strip. A 2-channel controller sends specific PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals to dim or brighten the warm and cool diodes independently, mixing the light to achieve the desired intermediate color temperature.
