Questions

Which voltages do Artcolor LED strips run on?

12, 24 and 48 V DC. Most series run on 24 V; PrimCore and Wave are also made for 12 V, and Ultra for 48 V, which keeps its brightness even over long runs.

Which LED strip can be cut at any LED?

SnipX. It cuts at any LED, so a run can be fitted precisely to its space: 2835 LEDs at 120 to 240 per metre on 24 V, CRI > 90, from 1800K to 6500K.

Which strip is the most efficient?

RayMax, at up to 150 lm/W: 2835 LEDs at 80 to 240 per metre on 24 V with CRI > 90, on a bare board that dissipates heat well for low light decay.

Is there an RGB+CCT (RGBCCT) LED strip?

Yes. The PolyX AF5050RGBCW-24V-60-12mm has five channels, red, green, blue, 2700K and 6500K, so one strip gives both colour and tunable white. PolyX also comes as 3838 RGB and 5050 RGBW strips.

Which strip changes between warm and cool white?

Demini puts 2700K and 6500K on one strip, at 196 or 280 LEDs per metre on 24 V, for a seamless change of ambience without glare or pixelation.

What colour quality and warranty do the white strips have?

CRI > 90, SDCM < 3 and a 5-year warranty. ArmorCore reaches CRI > 95 with SunLike LEDs and goes down to 1800K with Nichia LEDs.
